Summer make-up do’s and don'ts

Summer makeup   The summer is finally here and it’s time to get your swimwear and shorts out of the closet, ditch the boots for flip-flops and head on out to the beach to embrace the sun. Although in summer, getting your make up right is a bit tricky, considering the heat and higher temperatures can cause your make up to melt off which is so not an attractive look for you, instead keep your makeup light, allowing your skin to breathe while letting your natural beauty shine through. Flaunt your ommp factor in this summer season by adorning some vibrant clothes, fine diamond jewelry right and ofcourse with the basic skin care products you are all set to roll. This summer, learn few of the tricks to keep your make up in place.     MOISTURE AND BASE: Don’t go overboard and cake your face up with products for your base, instead use a tinted moisturizer with an SPF to protect your skin from the sun, as well as cover up those blemishes without coating your face with a lot of products and gives you a natural and healthy glow.   BLUSH/ HIGHLIGHT: Use a tad bit of bronzer or a blush to add a healthy glow to your skin, especially on the areas to be highlighted in the sun like your cheek bones, nose, chin, and forehead. However applying a bronzer to the nose is tricky as too much would cause your skin to look oily. If you’re using a bronzer skip the blush, or if you going in for a blush use a peachy or pinkish tinted blush depending on what complements your natural skin complexion. During the summer, opt for the powder or gel based blushes and avoid using the cream or mousse based ones as they stay on longer than the latter and the gel blushes are water proof.   ACCENTUATE YOUR EYES: Be sure to use waterproof mascara. Stay away from cream based and liquid liners, instead opt for gel based liners or pencils. These warm summer days keep your eye colors to a minimal. Use somber colors especially those that naturally bring out the color of your eyes.   FLAUNT YOUR POUT: Summer is all about the bright invigorating lip shades that last longer without smudging. Keep your lips moisturized with tinted lip balm and conditioners that protect your lips from the sun while giving your lips the dramatic bright colors of the summer.   KEEP IT SIMPLE: No matter what you do, the warm summer days are inevitably going to make your makeup melt away. Hence, opt for using lesser coats and just keep it simple! Use a slight amount of bronzer to highlight your face at just the right places and avoid excess products. Let your skin breathe as your natural beauty is most of the time your best look.
