Karina Smirnoff certainly knows her stuff, as the dance pro turned author of her debut book “We’re Just Not That into You: Dating Disasters from the Trenches” prepares to say “I Do”. Well girl, he certainly was into you, wasn’t he? Talk about practice what you preach. The 37 year old dancer nailed the perfect guy, as Jason Adelman popped the question and wow do we have a big ring!
The on- again-off-again couple had been dating for less than a year when Jason Adelman proposed with an absolutely stunning Martin Katz ring. Oh we are blinded! This glorious ring is said to be an emerald cut
diamond halo engagement ring weighing just under 5 carat and almost worth $300,000; the best Mirrorball trophy of all to the star performer. Now that’s a way to swoop a lady off her feet, don’t you think?
The couple seemed to be engaged for about a month now but had kept the engagement low profile, just amongst friends and families. The only hint officiating the engagement was from screenshot of Facebook profile page of the professional dancer showing “got engaged” status, that had been circulating the social media sites.
Karina Smirnoff previously had been engaged twice. In 2008, she was engaged to her
Dancing with the Stars Co-star Maksim Chmerovskiy but it lasted just about a year. Later in 2010, she revealed her engagement with the baseball star Brad Penny. Unfortunately even this relationship didn’t work out and the duo broke it off in a few months. Her romantic liaisons have also been linked with Mario Lopez and Orange is the New Black’s star Pablo Schreiber.
The Ukrainian-born performer has indeed learnt her lesson from prior dating disasters and with such an extensive and intense dating history, who wouldn’t be ready with a book? Karina Smirnoff, with her best friend and manager Lindsay Rielly, is really excited about the book release on 10
th February, 2015. The book is a candid compilation of their dating experiences including anecdotes of wild antic of potential suitors and crazy pickup lines. Sounds like a good read and we certainly look forward to reading it. Even after the sad dating disasters and bad break-ups Karina Smirnoff had been optimistic about love; this is what she had to say when asked about it, “I still believe in love. I still believe in the fairy tale in spite of everything. The whole wedding scenario isn’t necessarily a must for me anymore — though I would love a wedding — but having someone special in my life is all I require. And kids.” This time around she certainly seems to have found her prince charming.
Third time’s the charm, they say. With this
