Probably the most anticipated wedding of the season was of Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney, who managed to pull off a picture perfect wedding with the British lawyer Amal Alamuddin in Venice, Italy, on Friday the 27th of September, 2014.
The 53 year old movie-star and the 36 year old lawyer tied the knot in a closed modest wedding ceremony at the 16th century palazzo-turned–hotel Aman Canal Grande, Venice. Though a reserved affair, the ceremony had a score of star-studded family and friends, amongst who were seen are Anna Wintour, U2 front-man Bono, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. You can say it was all together a symbolic affair, as it seems that the couple had first met in Venice at a charity dinner. Thought they were only officially been first spotted in public in London over a dinner date at Berners Traven. Since then they have been sited enjoying romantic getaways in this picturesque city of love throughout their dating period and it was only oblivious to tie the knot where they first started of the beautiful journey.
After the ceremony, always a gentleman, this newly married Oscar-winning Actor was seen escorting his beautiful wife on board a water taxi, where they bid goodbyes to the throng of fans, paparazzi and tourist. As the boat made its way we could see Amal Alamuddin’s beautiful diamond studded wedding band, when she placed her hand on her husband’s chest. Amal Alamudding wore a pretty floral print, boat neck, Giambattista Valli Couture mini dress which complimented her long tanned legs. Clooney was seen sporting a smart grey suit. The couple couldn’t have been happier as the held hands, hugged and smiles as they made the exit.
