The award season is well underway with occurrence of the next big event, the SAG Awards 2015 that took place on Sunday night 21st January, 2015 at Los Angele’s Shrine Auditorium. After the fine kick start by Golden Globes, the vibes on the red carpet of the Screen Actors Guild Awards wasn’t nearly as charged up as expected and the glam and glitz paled in comparison. Though what did come to our notice is how upbeat some of our Hollywood stardoms were with modern glitter and bling, taking risk with the chicest and modish jewelry at the grand event. While many played it safe with the couture by dawning on the red carpet favorites like Dior and Armani, some brilliant beauties sure didn’t hesitate with taking the jewelry styles to the next level and pulled it off real well. Leave it to the brilliant Emma Stone to shun the all too common customs and stun us yet again by her tantalizing red carpet style. Not only was her Dior couture hip and a la mode, but she made it even better wearing just Repossi diamond ear-cuffs earrings. She wasn’t the only one with the rocking idea though; Keira Knightley followed the suit. We must say ladies; you brought the heat back to the snoozed floor with your way-too-cool-for-the-carpet style. Much impressed!
She might not have her dragons by her side but fierce Emilia Clarke most certainly knows how to make heads turn. Her classic off-shoulder black and navy Donna Karan Atelier gown was just the thing to bring the old Hollywood glam to the carpet; an impressive and refreshing alternate to her elaborate Game of Thrones attire. But what nailed the look were the glittering Cartier dangle diamond earrings and complimentary bracelet and a diamond ring. Very chic indeed!
It’s her year as she swoops off yet another award at SAG Awards 2015 right after winning a Golden Globe for best actress, but that’s just the cherry on the top. Always dressed to the nines at the red carpet events, the awards winning actress yet again showed what it is to be the winner. Julianne Moore looked splendid in her amethyst earrings, diamond band and dazzling diamond ring. What’s much more impressive is the color-play; matching the subtle beauty of amethyst with the bright regal emerald-green Givenchy gown. We dig it!
All that glitters is not gold, it’s Sarah Hyland. Dazzling bright in studded Vera Wang gown, Sarah brought some much needed radiance to the event. But that wasn’t all the sparkle; she rocked all the glimmer of gemstones with mesh cascading diamond and blue sapphire earrings and very stylish matching ring by Lorraine Schwartz. A bit more twinkle never hurts, right?
First Kate Hudson and J Lo and now Jennifer Aniston; plunging neck lines are the hype of the season. Jennifer, no doubt, looked enticing in the sensual vintage Galliano dress, but what made her top the red carpet’s best look list was amorous Amrit’s Make Love Body Chain, studded with 29 black diamonds, that touch ‘the heart chakra’ dangling from a solid 14K lotus pendants engraved with the ‘Hu’ symbol. Talk about stealing the thunder! The red carpet demands for brave, daring and out of the box fashion couture. But with the Oscars right around the corner, we are sure our bright stars and nominees are hoarding the best for the last. So it wasn’t a big surprise at SAG Awards 2015 that “playing it safe” was the style of the day, with screen glitterati dawning on all too workable fashion labels and trends. We still had some bold and beautiful taking risk and outshining at this prestigious award function and filled our red carpet expectations.
