Why is this lab-grown diamond cheaper than a natural one?
Lab-grown diamonds are more affordable than natural ones because they are created in controlled environments using efficient, scalable methods. Without mining or complex supply chains, production costs remain low. In contrast, natural diamonds form over billions of years and require labor-intensive extraction, which drives up their price.
Can I tell the difference between a lab-grown and a natural diamond?
Visually, even trained gemologists and diamond valuators cannot distinguish between lab-grown and natural diamonds without specialized equipment. Both have the same structure, hardness, and sparkle. That’s why we ensure each natural and lab-grown diamond comes with its respective GIA certification to verify its origin and quality.
Can I upgrade to a lab-created diamond later?
Absolutely. We offer a dedicated upgrade policy for lab-grown diamonds, allowing you to easily transition to a larger or higher-quality diamond in the future. All you need to ensure is that the previous stone is purchased from us, and the new stone is at least $1,000 more expensive than the previous one.
Please check our upgrade terms or contact our team for guidance.
What’s the return and warranty policy?
At Fascinating Diamonds, we offer a 30-day return policy – No Questions Asked – on all certified lab-grown diamonds. There’s no warranty on large loose diamonds. Instead, you can opt for a professional appraisal for an additional fee.
Are lab-grown diamonds eco-friendly and ethical?
Absolutely!
Lab-grown diamonds are considered more eco-friendly and ethical than natural diamonds. Their production doesn’t involve potential ethical concerns (like human rights), which is the case for some natural diamonds. They have a lower environmental impact (like land disruption and carbon emissions) compared to mining diamonds from the Earth.
